LITTLE LAMBS THRU 12th GRADE SUNDAY SCHOOL:

Our Little Lambs (ages 2-3) through 8th grade students: The 2025-26 Sunday School Year will be starting on Sept. 14, 2025. We are eager to begin offering biblical instruction each Sunday morning meeting your kids where they’re at.

We will continue to use the Little Lamb curriculum for two-three year old’s and The Gospel  Project curriculum for Pre-K-8th grade. We will begin the year where we left off last year with  a unit titled Land and Loss, a study of the books of Joshua and I Samuel.

What can you expect on Sunday School mornings this school year?

Drop off: Parents who are dropping kids off will enter from the North /main door. Little Lambs will go directly to their classroom, the first door to the right, just past the bathrooms at 9:15 am. Children (PreK-5) will gather in the main meeting space in the Education building for a group worship time at 9:15 am. Older children (6-8) will also go directly to their classroom in the basement. We encourage you to be prompt, maximizing your child’s exposure to prayer, music and teaching during worship and class time. Please sign-in children, first grade and younger, on the sign-up sheet near the main door.

Pick up: Parents picking up kids will enter from the North/main door as usual. Please use the sign-out station as you enter if you have kids first grade and younger. We request that only parents pick up their kids instead of an older sibling.

Worship Time: As noted, Sunday school will open with a joint worship time that includes the PreK-Kindergarten class through the 5th grade class. That begins at 9:15 am and will close just before 9:30 am. Students will be encouraged to mix, older and younger, to build a sense of community.

Offering: Last year, Sunday school children gave enough money to send twenty-five songbooks to Haiti. This year we will be collecting funds to provide more songbooks and French Bibles for the Haitians through Starfish Ministries. An offering container will be on the sign in/check out station by the door.

9th – 12th grade meets at Bethel CRC (1105 Liberty) at 9 am for Bible study.

NURSERY: We love and care for your children! We are ready for your infants and toddlers in the lower level of our sanctuary. There are responsible, caring, loving adults along with some older kids who serve in the nursery each week so you are able to enjoy the worship service knowing your child is being well cared for. Every one of our adult volunteers has passed background checks and are committed to our church’s safety policy.

GEMS

Calling all 2nd-8th grade girls!! We are looking forward to starting up another fun year of Gems! This year our theme is “Friended” and our theme verse comes from John 15:15 “I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you”. We will learn more about what it means to be a good friend, and most importantly of all, finding our best friend in Jesus Christ. Our kick off night is Monday, September 8 from 6:30-8 at Lynden City Park. We will have pizza and games! We meet every other Monday at 6:30 pm in the church office basement. Any questions feel free to reach out to any of our Gems leaders.

CADETS

Cadets! It’s that time of year again we are  calling all boys from 2nd-8th grade. Cadets is  a ministry for young boys to encourage them in their faith and to attain life skills. Our kick off night is on Monday, Sept. 8. from 6:30 to 8 pm with a pizza party and games at church. This year our theme is “Stand Firm” and the theme verse comes from 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.”  We will do everything from Snow Derby to the pinewood derby, a midwinter camp night and new badges. We meet every other Monday at 6:30 pm.
